Spring blossom maternity photoshoot, at home.

I made these photos with Abby in February, ahead of the arrival of her first child. I drove up from my home near Southampton to hers in Northamptonshire in torrential rain, and was mulling how we were going to make this work. On arrival the clouds parted and I noticed that blossom was starting to come out and the light had glimmers of warmth to it, and we loved that! Spring and a new baby on their way, it felt special to capture this transient moment in time together. I have taken portraits of Abby a lot over the years, and this has been my favourite. Shot using a mixture of 35mm film and digital photos.
